2 Intriguing Young Adult Books for Grownups

Young adult fiction is extremely popular among teenagers, but it does not mean that it is exclusively meant for youngsters. Many adults browse through websites like Mediafaze to get their hands on young adult books. There are many who sneer at people who read young adult books, claiming that it is meant for a younger crowd.

Young adult stories take inspiration from the world around them, and there is so much you can learn from them. Here are some interesting young adult reads that you should definitely browse through.

EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IS NOT RUINED BY DANIELLE YOUNGE-ULLMAN

The main character Ingrid is tested in unexpected ways on her wilderness adventure. Her camping trip takes an unexpected turn but she is hell-bent on finding her "inner Nature Girl". There is a lot of back and forth in terms of time in the book. She moves from past to the present. The book focuses on her life struggles and how she deals with them. Through her adventures, she discovers her inner strength and develops leadership qualities.

THE LIFEBOAT CLIQUE BY KATHY PARKS

A group of teens adrift together on the Pacific in a lifeboat. But, sixteen-year-old Denver is unfazed about her plight and maintains her sarcastic persona throughout. She has weird ideas that stem from watching television and pop culture. Her abrasive tone is off-putting and works against the story's suspense. Working up sympathy for characters is difficult in this book.
